Brief Description: Finish brake components, trim hor stab skin
Cut the drilled and tapped L01-09 brake cable retainers from the raw bar stock and cleaned up all edges. Primed the retainers, installed them on the wheel pant attach plate using Loctite thread lock on the screws. Painted the assembly with Dupli-color DE1611 gray engine enamel.
Countersunk the gear legs to flush mount the wheel pant attach plate.
Trimmed the lower skin of the horizontal stabilizer to clear the aft fuselage. I put a piece of left over hinge stock between the skin and the aft spar, then used a dremel tool with cutoff wheel to trim the skin. I could cut through the skin into the shim without damaging the spar.
